July 29 - Health Care in a Shrinking Economy

Do you need some information about health care? On July 29, the Hudson Regional Library will be hosting a seminar to discuss health care options for all ages in the State of Florida. Join us to discuss health care options from the health department, Florida Kidcare, and Cover Florida Health Care Plan. Also, if you can't make it to the seminar on July 29, 2009, the library system will host this seminar at these branches:

Zach is a BIG WINNER!!!

Congratulations Zach!

Zach is a grand prize winner of the WWE's Summer Slam Reading Jam! He and his mom will travel to Los Angeles, California for the Pay-Per-View Summer Slam event on August 23rd! Zach will also recieve $200 spending cash and the Friends of the Hudson Library will receive $2,000 from the WWE for library books and materials for teens.

Zach simply checked out some books from the Hudson Library sometime between June 24th and July 16th. He received a numbered mini-poster featuring several WWE superstars. On July 16th, Zach checked the WWE website for the winning poster numbers and was elated to see his digits listed!

Hudson Library was one of five hundred libraries participating in the sweepstakes. All of the libraries in the Pasco County Library System participated. Each library received 25 numbered mini-posters for kids (ages 10 - 18) who checked out at least two books. Zach had a 1 in 1,042 chance of winning!

Summer Reading Club - THE END IS NEAR!!!

There is only ONE week left to log your books for the Summer Reading Club! July 25th is the last day to tell us what you read! Teens and elementary age children must log 6 books and Read to Me kids must log 20 books. Please visit us at the library or online to get your books recorded! We want everyone at our Family Celebrations!
