June 12th & 13th - Anime & Manga Convention

Are you REALLY into anime and manga? How about cosplay? If so, please join us for our first Library Anime & Manga Enthusiasts (LAME) two-day convention at the Hudson Regional Library! The convention will be held on June 12th from 6:00-10:00pm and June 13th from 10:00am-5:00pm. We'll have vendors selling all the latest, hottest anime and manga merchandise straight from Japan. We'll also have a trading card tournament, panels, artists on display and so much more!

On June 12th we'll have a Costume Contest. Wear your best anime/manga outfit and strike a pose for the judges. On June 13th we'll have a Cosplay Contest. Here's your chance to strut your stuff and act out as your favorite character.

No registration is required and it's FREE, so just come on by!

May 29th – June 13th - Everyone's Invited To Our Book Fair!

You are invited to attend a special event at our library...a Scholastic Book Fair! A child's life can be positively influenced by exposure to quality books, and the Book Fair has many to choose from! All proceeds from the event will help support the Summer Reading Club and The Friends of the Hudson Library.

Cash, checks AND credit cards will be accepted.

June 9th - Guitar Art

Get the chance to decorate an actual guitar! Ask for a guitar template from the Teen Advisor to submit your design. All guitars will be raffled off at the end of the summer to raise money for Rockus Maximus: Battle of the Bands 13!

June 9th - Get Creative @ Your Library - Peace, Love & Lava Lamps

The Summer Reading Club is going retro! Climb aboard our magic time machine as we travel back in time to the 1960's! Your Groovologist, Ms. Wendy, is going to show you a dyn-o-mite time! There will be dancing, a story and some truly far-out crafts! Don't miss it; it's going to be outta sight! Program begins at 2pm.

June 5th & 6th - Teen Lock-In!!

We are kicking off the 2009 TEEN Summer Reading Program with a LARGE, LOUD, and LOOOOONG LOCK-IN! Be one of the few, the proud, the insane to stay up and party with us until the rooster crows! The Express Yourself Lock-In begins Friday, June 5th at 8:00pm and ends promptly at 8:00am on Saturday, June 6th. There will be gaming, loads of food and tons of fun!

Be Creative @ Your Library - Registration Starts May 26th!!!!

Join the Summer Reading Club. It's easy! Registration begins Tuesday, May, 26. Just read 6 books. Win weekly prizes and come to parties!!! Join the club by signing up at the library or online at pascolibraries.org. Don’t forget, the library has an exciting kick-off program on Saturday, May 30 @ 2:00 p.m. Visit the library weekly for fun reading programs with crafts and games. Have a fun filled summer at your library. All the excitement starts the week of June 7 and runs through the week of July 19.
